Canton Wok in Serangoon
How do I know I’ve recovered from an illness? When my appetite returns. Although my tonsils are still sore, my fever has been lifted today and I had the chance to bring my parents out to dinner at a new place in Serangoon: Canton Wok.
Its a small restaurant that serves mouth-watering Chinese dishes that are absolutely fabulous. The pork ribs laced with a sweet dark sauce and coffee flavouring is a definite recommendation. It is accompanied by pork ribs seasoned with a fruity flavoured sauce - original and most palatable.
The other great dish was the fried tou foo and brocolli - the soft soya bean curd smothered in oyster sauce and covered with scalded brocolli done just right. Goes very well with rice.
The main course was the steamed fish. More Chinese restaurants are judged by their steamed fish than by any other dish, and Chef Kang does not disappoint.
Ah, that was a satisfying meal. For those in search of a great place to eat, the Canton Wok by Chef Kang is at
