The Dimming Sun
BBC has an article about how solar radiation has been decreasing in recent decades due to increased particulate pollution. It was an interesting article because we’ve all heard about Global Warming - how can this be if there’s less sunlight reaching the ground? It is frightening how many of the choices we make today have a global impact.
Talking about sunshine, I have a new pair of eyeglasses. It’s equipped with a photochromatic plastic lens that darkens when exposed to outdoor light. Its quite cool - the darkening process takes about one minute’s exposure to sunlight. Its slightly thicker than current high-index polycarbonate lens, but not overly bulky.
